Contact Improvisation Dance
Contact and improvisation dance was created by a talented group led by Steve Paxton in the 1970s. It emerged from the will to experiment using non-pre-established body movements. The company behind this concept, Grand Union, developed the technique connecting expression and consciousness to body movements. In this way, breaking up with the traditional dance formats existing to date.
It consists of bringing free movements of touch, weight and pressure in a conscious and improvised way between 2 or more participants. The movements challenge the balance of each participant body. It’s represented in many forms and shapes such as bearings, slow falls or physical supports that are based on consciousness, relaxation, energy flow and free expression.

The practice is a self-knowledge learning with a pedagogical aspect that is based on silence and concentration. There is, above all, a willingness to work on the connection between your body and your partner’s body.
With Pramod this practice takes the form he calls Easy Motion. It’s a result of all practices taught by himself. Practices such as Bioenergetics, Dynamic Meditation and Martial Arts.
